For the third year in succession Seven Sins worked at the Brighton Convention and had an awesome weekend. After the crew of Iva, Sarah, Chic and Ben put the booth together in the boxing arena, Saturday was mega busy with Chic and Ben flat out all day, doing some pretty hardcore tattoos – stars on faces, demons in the armpit! Pain city!
The Brighton Show is always rammed with punters and a brilliant show, with plenty of different stuff going on. One of the highlight attractions this year was the Sugar Project, a charity run by Lisa Bolton involving over 70 tattoo artists from around the world. Chic painted a skull (pic) for the event which was raffled off at the convention along with 9 others commissioned by Woody from Blackheart. The exhibition of skulls in the Art Gallery was breathtaking! The level of creativity from the artists simply amazing, from a skull cut in half to look like edam cheese, complete with little mouse(!) to one completely covered in diamontes! (link to sugar site)
Sunday started slower but built up to be incredibly busy, with eager tattoo fans crammed in to get a look at the art on display. Ben again did some different stuff, with a succession of inner lip tattoos!
By the end of the day we were all knackered but happy with the success of the show. A big thank you to all our customers who made the trip and supported us – see you again next year!
