Here at Sinner HQ we always look forward to the Brighton Tattoo Convention. It’s always packed with tattoo fans eager to get stuck in to some new ink at the start of the year.

As always the convention is superbly organised and run. Everything we artists need is looked after with efficient ease and it makes the whole weekend so enjoyable. (Other show organisers take note… it’s not hard to provide the basics)

Being January of course it’s gonna be cold, but once inside it’s warm and cosy and so full of bodies it’s hard to stay chilly for long. The Sinners were based upstairs in a sweet spot just as you went in the room and our booth was always jammed with people checking out the tattoos and stuff for sale. Must have been a lot of guitar players about, ‘cos we shifted a fair few Seven Sins plectrums over the weekend!

For us the weekend went in the blink of an eye and was over too quick! We all agreed it was an outstanding convention and we’re already looking forward to next year!

Anyway it’s obviously been playing on Chris’s mind, because he’s now got a brand new one tattooed on! And it’s not your average belly button, it’s proper old school button – the kind you used to get on flasher macs, with 4 big sewing holes in the middle. Chris said it hurt – a lot! So now he is complete once more…

Ben’s Art Attack!

So you know about Ben’s continuing dabble into the world of proper painting on canvas. Well he’s been plugging away, painting, re-painting, starting again, changing the colours over and over and finally plucked up the courage to show us the finished piece (albeit a photo on his mobile, which obviously’s gonna make it look better as it’s smaller!) and to be fair, it looked ok – a bit wierd, but hey, art’s art innit?

Anyway after all his hard work and perseverance he came in today and told us that one of his babies high chairs had fallen over and – you guessed it – gone and torn the canvas! So the art world is safe once more… until he starts a new piece that is. But it’ll take ages…. of course…..!

She’s such a happy thing!

This week was mouse boy Chris’s birthday – he mumbled something about going to London and going up the eye? We presume he meant the London Eye! Happy Birthday Chris!

What is it with computers? They have to be the most frustrating cause of stress on the planet (well, after your missus obviously!) Seems like not a day goes by without some dilemma – this week it’s the printer and scanner. Apparently it doesn’t exist! Despite having been connected and functioning fine it suddenly goes on holiday – so another few hours of dicking around trying to sort that out really makes the day go well!

We had to laugh – Ben trying to file his back spring slot… goes something like: rasp, rasp, ouch, rasp rasp, ouch ouch, rasp, rasp oh shit ouch! Oh the fun we have…
